Most people assume that spirituality and logic are opposites. Spirituality is feeling, intuition, mystery. Logic is cold, analytical, reductive. I spent years believing this before I discovered something that changed everything: if God is real, then the universe God created must be perfectly logical. And if the universe is perfectly logical, then logic itself is a path to God.
One of my manuscripts is called Either God Is or God Isn't. The title captures the essential logical challenge: there is no middle ground. God either exists as the ultimate ground of all being — unlimited, eternal, all-knowing, all-loving — or God does not exist at all. The compromises people make between these two positions are not logical positions. They are emotional accommodations.
If God exists, then certain things follow necessarily. God cannot be sometimes loving and sometimes cruel. God cannot be limited by the physical laws of a universe God created. God cannot be ignorant of any part of creation. Every attribute of God must be infinite and absolute — or the thing we are calling God is not God.
My manuscript God's Paradox explores what I call the unliftable stone problem — the ancient philosophical challenge: can God create a stone so heavy that even God cannot lift it? Most people treat this as a clever trick that disproves God. I treat it as the doorway to understanding what God actually is.
The paradox dissolves when you realize that it assumes God exists within the same framework of physical limitation that the paradox describes. A God who is unlimited cannot be trapped by the logic of a limited system. The question itself is the confusion — and seeing through the confusion is the beginning of real understanding.
Logic is not the enemy of faith. Followed honestly and completely, logic is one of the most reliable roads to the recognition of what God must be.
"If God is real, then reality is perfectly logical. And if reality is perfectly logical, then following logic honestly will eventually lead you to God."
