The final manuscript in The Christ Consciousness Series is called We Will All Awaken Together. I want to explain why I chose to end the series with that statement — because it is not wishful thinking, and it is not sentimentality. It is, I believe, one of the most important and most overlooked truths in all of spiritual teaching.
In Western spirituality, we tend to think of awakening as something that happens to individuals. A person reaches enlightenment. A person finds God. A person is saved. The rest of the world continues on in its sleep while the awakened one has somehow escaped.
But A Course in Miracles teaches something radically different: because we are all one — because separation is the fundamental illusion and unity is the fundamental truth — individual awakening in the ultimate sense is impossible. My awakening and yours are not separate events. They are part of a single movement of consciousness returning to its source.
This does not mean we all awaken at the same moment in linear time. It means that every step toward truth that any one of us takes accelerates the movement for all of us.
I am 73 years old. I live simply. I do not have a large platform. I have no social media following to speak of. By most of the world's metrics, my reach is small.
But I do not measure what I do by those metrics. I measure it by this: every person who reads one of these manuscripts and experiences even a moment of genuine recognition — a moment of seeing through the ego's story, of touching something that is actually real — that moment matters. Not just for that person. For all of us.
We are waking up together. Some of us are further along in the dream, some of us are just beginning to stir. But no one wakes up alone. And no one is left behind.
